Part-Time Home Manager / Housekeeper & Private Cook

  • On-site
    • Lagunitas, California, United States
  • $45 - $55 per hour

Job description

About the Role

We are seeking a warm, proactive, and highly organized Part-Time Home Manager to support a private homeowner in Lagunitas, located in the beautiful San Geronimo Valley of West Marin.

The homeowner has recently purchased a property and is looking for someone who can take ownership of getting the home fully set up, organized, and running smoothly. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys creating order from the ground up and taking pride in maintaining a welcoming, well-functioning home.

The position will begin with a 4–6 week move-in and home setup phase, followed by ongoing household management, including cooking, housekeeping, grocery shopping, vendor coordination, and general home upkeep.

Cooking and hands-on housekeeping are essential components of this role. The homeowner follows a specific dietary protocol, so the ideal candidate will be a confident home cook who enjoys preparing fresh, healthy meals and is comfortable accommodating dietary requirements.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, resourceful, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently, particularly when the homeowner is traveling.

Schedule & Hours

Initial Home Setup Phase (First 4–6 Weeks)

  • Approximately 20–24 hours per week.

  • Ideally 3 days per week, approximately 7–8 hours per day.

  • Focused on furnishing, organizing, and establishing household systems.

Ongoing Home Management

  • Approximately 16–20 hours per week.

  • Ideally 3–4 visits per week, approximately 5 hours per visit.

  • Regular cooking, housekeeping, grocery shopping, errands, and household oversight.

The schedule will primarily be during weekday daytime hours, with some flexibility required for deliveries, vendor appointments, and the homeowner's travel schedule.
