Job description
A professional couple is seeking a full-time House Manager / Household Assistant to support their lifestyle across multiple locations. The role is based in Puerto Rico, with a required 4-month stay in Tennessee every summer (June–September). You will be provided with your own apartment in Tennessee.
The ideal candidate is organized, calm, discreet, experienced in home support, and able to maintain a high standard of order and routine in the home.
You'll work alongside homeowners who work from home and value a peaceful, organized environment. This position focuses on daily household maintenance, organization, light meal prep, and pet care.
This is a long-term position (2–3+ years preferred) for someone dependable, detail-oriented, and ready to become an essential part of how our home operates.
Work Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to ~3:00 PM
Approx. 35 hours per week
Early start/early finish work environment
Job requirements
Household Operations
Daily walk-through and “quick sweep” of the home
Light housekeeping (kitchen, bathrooms, living spaces)
Maintaining an extremely tidy and well-organized environment
Managing dishwasher loading/unloading, care of delicate items
Laundry and proper handling of fabrics
Following household resets and checklists
Inventory management for household supplies
Meal Preparation
Basic meal prep (simple, healthy meals: meat + vegetables)
Prepping ingredients and organizing the kitchen
Ability to look up simple recipes independently (e.g., YouTube)
Supporting the family’s simple, clean eating style
No chef-level cooking required
Pet Care
Caring for the family’s dog
Taking the dog outside (short walk to the beach)
Occasional grooming/vet visits
Must be kind, patient, and genuinely love dogs
Errands & Logistics
Grocery shopping and household restocking
Managing vendor appointments (cleaner, groomer, repairs)
Laundry drop-off/pick-up
Coordinating schedules around the family’s calendar
Preparing the home before and after travel
Relocating with the family to Tennessee for 4 months (housing provided)
Administrative Tasks
Writing down all instructions and to-dos (non-negotiable)
Updating lists, notes, and recurring checklists
Using calendar systems daily; candidate will have access to the family’s calendar
Basic tech skills (iPhone and laptop; Mac preferred)
Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)
Currently living in Puerto Rico (no housing provided in PR)
Fully able to relocate to Tennessee for June–September each year (housing provided)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Calm, discreet personality
Not overly talkative; professional and quiet work style
Comfortable with dogs and daily pet care
Capable with smartphones, calendars, and basic computer tasks
Reliable, responsible, long-term-oriented
Able to manage multiple responsibilities independently
No obligations that prevent travel
Preferred Qualifications
Background in housekeeping, hospitality, nannying, or home management
Enjoys food and has natural intuition in the kitchen
Experience in high-standard households
